the luminous half moon
yellow and present
is slipping up over the dark horizon
nocturnal reminder
that you and I are
half where I left you asleep
and half

but finally

I ran 

to the safest corner
of this wanderlust world

but
homesick for pines
dusted in late evening snow
returned

always wondering

why

then
in evergreens
weighted with silence

I found you waiting there too

blue water captivates eternally
